For Robert Buckland, it will be a short drive up the A420 from his home in Swindon at attend the Rotary District Conference.
Robert has been the MP for Swindon South since 2010 and in July 2019, he was appointed Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice.
He studied law at Durham University before setting up practice in criminal law and planning in South Wales.
In 2009, Robert was appointed as a Recorder of the Crown Court, sitting on the Midland Circuit.
The Welsh-born Government minister has served in a number of Parliamentary posts.
He has chaired the All Party Parliamentary Group on autism, and is involved in groups of speech, language and communication disability. He also speaks on Gurkha welfare.
Married to Sian who he met at university, the couple have twin children. Robert’s interests include music, wine, political history and watching rugby and cricket.
