We have events planned for both Friday and Saturday evenings in the Racecourse Grandstand. Both events will be held on the second floor.
On Friday evening, arrive early and enjoy the privilege of an escorted tour around Newbury Racecourse, visit the Jockey’s changing room, see the Stables where the horses wait prior to racing, even view the course from the Queens Royal Box.
There will be two tours, one at 16.00 and another at 17.00, the tour will take around 60 mins
Following the second tour, at 19.00, join everyone in the Viva Las Vegas room, where we will hear from singer Jacob Cole, a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and who some of us heard sing at the District Handover dinner last July. We will be served our meal at 19.45, we will enjoy a one course meal of shepherds pie and vegetables (or the vegetarian option), an opportunity to chat with fellow Rotarians, perhaps someone you've not seen since the last conference. Seating will not be allocated, so arrive together if you wish to sit together. The bar will be open all evening from 18.00.
Tickets will be £22 each with food, for those of you not eating the games will start at 20.30 and will cost £12. Tick the box on your booking form.
At 20.30 real fun begins. Try your hand at Blackjack, Craps or Roulette, challenge your friends to a game of Jenga, become the champion of Connect 4 or take on the challenge of a simulator.
At the end of the evening, we’ll have prizes for the player with the most chips, for the highest column of Jenga and the Connect 4 champion of the evening.
There is a place set for you at Saturday's Gala Dinner "Black and White with a Splash of Colour"
Put on your glad rags and come and celebrate our District's conference.
There will be a sumptuous menu, music will be provided by a top local group Boogie Me.
Don't miss out. Add this to your registration form.
