Rotary Supporting the new Thames Hospice

As Phase 1 of a project to support the building of a new, larger Thames Hospice, a group of Rotary Clubs from the area around the new facility, currently under construction within our Rotary District in Bray, Berkshire, are gathering funds to provide all of the garden furniture.  They are close to their Phase 1 target of £25,000 and hope to have the full amount committed before our District Conference.

Phase 2 will be launched at the Conference and will aim to raise funds to sponsor, as a “Rotary Garden”, one of the 10 special garden areas which are included in the new development.  These gardens are all targeted at aiding the therapy provided by the Hospice and include amongst others, a Sanctuary Garden, Family Garden, Bereavement Garden, Water Garden.  For more information, please contact either Derek Smith (derek@cookhamrotary.co.uk ) or Alan Clare (alan.clare@btinternet.com)

You will hear more about this project from Derek Smith on stage on Saturday morning.
